IGUKA Hosts ACEI Kabale Annual Meeting

Today, March 13th, 2025, St. Ignatius University Kabale (IGUKA) was privileged to host the Association of Catholic Education Institutions Kabale (ACEI Kabale) for their Annual Meeting.

Our Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Diana Kwarikunda, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the headteachers for their collaborative efforts in promoting IGUKA, emphasizing unity between the University and secondary schools under the Kabale Diocese umbrella.

The Diocesan Education Secretary, Mr. Remegio Byamukama, commended headteachers for exceptional academic and developmental performance, encouraging excellence. He echoed Dr. Kwarikunda’s sentiments, requesting headteachers to extend support to IGUKA.

Dr. Msgr. John Vianney Sunday, Vicar General of Kabale Diocese, University Governing Council member, and Guest of Honour, expressed appreciation for choosing IGUKA as the meeting venue. He congratulated headteachers on impressive 2024 O-level results, encouraged self-evaluation, and emphasized adherence to Diocesan Education Secretary’s office decisions, particularly supporting IGUKA.

Dr. Msgr. Sunday noted IGUKA’s potential to transform lives, stressed effective time management, and invited headteachers to attend Bishop Callist Rubaramira’s Golden Priestly celebrations on May 18th, 2025.

Mr. Kereson Katongore, Chairperson of the Association and Headteacher of St. Agatha Girls Kakore, appreciated the Diocese for establishing IGUKA and the University management for hosting the meeting. He pledged full support on behalf of the Association.
