Dr. Amutuhaire Tibelius

Dr. Tibelius Amutuhaire is the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at St. Ignatius University Kabale. He is an experienced higher education leader with over fifteen years of service in academia across East Africa. He holds a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Bayreuth, Germany, with a specialization in internationalisation and student mobility, focusing on access, equity, and regional integration in higher education.

Dr. Amutuhaire has held academic and administrative roles in Uganda, Tanzania, and Burundi, contributing to curriculum development, quality assurance, accreditation, and institutional policy reform. He has also provided advisory support to regional and national higher education bodies on academic standards, internationalisation, and governance.

He is committed to academic excellence, institutional growth, and the promotion of equitable
access to quality higher education.
