Kigezi Youth to Host H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at St. Ignatius University Kabale

For what is anticipated to be a landmark event, the Kigezi youth, in collaboration with St. Ignatius University Kabale, are (is)preparing to host His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa, the President of the Republic of Uganda. Scheduled for February 14th, 2025. This historic gathering will take place on the university grounds, marking a significant milestone for both the institution and the Kigezi region.
The visit underscores President Museveni’s commitment to the Parish Development Model (PDM), a bold government initiative aimed at enhancing the lives of Ugandans from the grassroots economic empowerment. The PDM emphasizes the mobilization of local resources, improvement of agricultural productivity, and promotion of entrepreneurship within communities, aligning seamlessly with the university mission, which is encapsulated in its motto: “Inspire, Empower, Transform.”
St. Ignatius University Kabale was officially inaugurated on August 24th, 2024, and welcomed its first cohort of students on January 8th, 2024.
