In a significant milestone for the institution, Dr. Diana Kwarikunda, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, represented IGUKA at a pivotal event in the German Parliament, Berlin. The event, centered on higher education, science, and space technology, provided a platform for IGUKA to establish new connections and strengthen existing partnerships with German institutions.During the event, Dr. Kwarikunda interacted with MP Maya Wallstein, Chair of the Committee on Higher Education, Science, and Space Technology, discussing potential collaborations and exchanges between IGUKA and German institutions. The meeting aimed to explore opportunities for academic excellence and innovation between the two institutions.
This initiative was part of a 5-day training program organized by the University of Potsdam in cooperation with the German Rector’s Association, funded by the DAAD. The training brought together female Deputy Vice Chancellors from the Global South, focusing on capacity building and partnership development.
