Kabale, Uganda – The IGUKA community participated in a fire safety training session conducted by Superintendent of Police (SP) Muhanguzi Moses, the Fire Brigade Officer for Kigezi Region, and his team from Kabale Police, today, 7 November 2025. The training aimed to equip staff and students with essential skills and knowledge on fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and emergency response. The training session covered key topics, including fire causes and prevention strategies, use of fire extinguishers, and evacuation techniques. Participants also had hands-on experience with fire extinguishers and learned how to respond in case of a fire emergency.
The IGUKA community appreciates SP. Muhanguzi Moses and Kabale Police for organizing the training and looks forward to implementing the knowledge gained to enhance fire safety on campus. The training was held on the University grounds, ensuring a practical and accessible learning experience for all participants.
