Students pursuing a Certificate in Medical Records at St. Ignatius University Kabale (IGUKA) demonstrated their creativity and practical skills by undertaking a liquid soap-making project.
The project provided students with an opportunity to engage in hands-on learning, develop practical competencies, and explore the application of their knowledge beyond the classroom. Through this initiative, the students gained exposure to a practical production activity that can support hygiene promotion and potentially inspire future entrepreneurship.
Liquid soap is an important product in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, particularly in healthcare environments where proper hand hygiene plays a vital role in infection prevention and control.
The activity aligns with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), which emphasizes experiential learning, practical skills development, creativity, and the application of knowledge to real-world challenges.
By participating in such projects, IGUKA students are encouraged to become innovative, resourceful, and solution-oriented professionals who can contribute meaningfully to their communities and the world of work.
St. Ignatius University Kabale remains committed to promoting practical, skills-based education that equips learners with relevant competencies for professional growth and community development.
