The office of Accounts is responsible for the preparation of financial statements, maintenance of general ledger, payment of bills, preparation of customer bills, payroll, and more. The office is also responsible for managing the overall economic front of the business. The office will help and guide IGUKA to plan and manage finances.

The office is guided by the vision of delivering timely and accurate financial reporting and provide proper oversight of all expenditures and revenue collections in order to successfully support the operations of the University through Inspiring, Empowering, Transforming her students.

The mission of the office is to drive financial excellence by providing accurate and timely financial information, optimizing resources, and safeguarding company assets for the benefit of all stakeholders. The office will support resource mobilisation through public fundraisings, research grant writing and other finance generating activities.

This shall be achieved by carrying out the following Activities.

  • Accurate Transactions record
  • Asset & Liability Tracking
  • Preparing Financial Statements for the Accounting periods
  • Compliance with legal authorities (Companies Act of 2012 as amended, URA & NSSF)

The Department is entitled to achieve its mandates through. 

  • Liquidity; Ensuring that the University has enough funds to meet its short-term and long-term financial obligations
  • Efficiency; Performing financial activities in the best possible manner with the least waste of time and effort.
  • Funds mobilization; Support finance generating activities
