Prof. Maximiano Ngabirano

Prof. Maximiano Ngabirano is an Associate Professor and Vice Chancellor of St. Ignatius University Kabale. He is a former Director of the Postgraduate, Research and Enterprise of Uganda Martyrs University (2022), Headed a project of Transforming Employability for Social change in East Africa (TESCEA) from 2018 to 2021,  the Dean of the School of Arts and Social Sciences (2016-2019) the Director of East African School of Diplomacy and International Studies(2012-2016) and Head of Department of Good Governance (2005-2011). He belongs to two professional bodies including the Association of African Theologians where he sits on the Pan African Executive Representing East Africa. He is the Founder of Equator Peace Academy founded in (2010), a summer school programme at UMU which is a member of Communities Engaging with Difference and Religion which is a worldwide association of Summer Schools dealing with issues that separate human beings. He is a member of Catholic Social thought at the Catholic University of Leuven.

He has participated in the programmes of Partnership for African social and governance research (PASGR) since 2011 mainly in Master of Research and Public Policy (MRPP) and Pedagogical Leadership in Africa (PEDAL). He has interest in Technology Enhanced Learning, Case Writing and Ethics of Refugees and Migration studies.
